An Idea...

This is the sort of image I plan to use for my coursework, as it shows many feelings and thoughts that someone may have at this particular time. When this photo was took, I felt happy and free and all the worrys left my mind. This is something I want to feature in my album cover, as it is something that relates to me as a person and a special memory.

This iconic and well known album of the band Green Day uses very dark and deathly colours such as; black, white and red. This theme relates to the genre of music this band produce which is rock. Also, the main image used in this album cover is a hand holding a heart, which is designed as a grenade. A grenade relates to the theme of war, death, passion, bravery and heart break; supporting the reason why the band used a heart to represent it. Furthermore, the heart could also represent pain, something that could be shown within the featured songs.

The title 'Green Day' is the biggest font shown, making it stand out to the audience and catch their attention. Also, it creates more of an affect as the white writing is ontop of a black background. Black and white are the most common colours to come in pairs, just like 'good'and 'bad'.

The second title 'american idiot', is all in lower case and written in red. Red is a common colour related to blood, danger and love, supporting the heart in the grasp of the hand. This colour has many different meanings depending on how it is interpreted; maybe hiding something.

Such a great album.
In this album cover, the main image shown is the artist Ed Sheeran. This making him the main focus for the audience. However, on his tongue there is shown to be a piece of paper with the feature of a cross. This could suggest a theme to his music, and a message he intends to bring across.
The chosen gesture of him sticking his tongue out is quite a childish action, which could suggest his fun personality that he puts in some of his songs.
There are many colours used within this image, which stand out by the use of the white background. His messy and red hair especially stands out infront of the white back drop.

This simple album cover of Adele's most famous album yet, is very iconic and relevant to the hidden meaning behind all of her written songs. As the audience, we are able to see this message as her chosen lack of eye contact. As her eyes are looking down and away from the camera, this could suggest sadness and the theme of many of her featured songs. By using this effect, many people would purchase her album to find out what stories maybe be hidden within the lyrics.
Very simple colours have been used within this album cover, to emphasise Adele's face and facial expressions. Also, we are able to see how her arm and hand is also exposed to the light, this emphasising her gesture within the image. This gesture shows that she is fed up and could be over thinking something. The number '21' within the album title, is the only feature in a different colour. This  emphasising its significance to the album, making it stand out to the reader. It could also hold another hidden meaning such as a significant life stage in Adele's life, where heart break, grief and upset could have happened. The number '21' has many different meanings, such as the evolution into adulthood, and what a person has to go through, what knew things they are faced with and problems they may have to deal with. This may have been the reason Adele chose this number.
